Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds – Book Week 2021.
21st -27th August 2021
We may often let our minds wonder to consider the experiences of times before us, possibilities of the future, even questioning worlds that could exist outside of our own.
Each year, Book Week is celebrated throughout schools and public libraries across Australia. The week sets out to highlight incredible Australian authors and illustrators, bringing light to the magic that is reading stories.
This year, the Children’s Book Council Australia (CBCA) have selected the theme of ‘Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds’. Aiming to spark curiosity, this theme feeds the imaginations of young readers. Each related to this idea, 36 books have been nominated as a collection of high quality Children’s books.
The Pyjama Foundation are participating in the promotion of Book Week 2021 by providing free downloadable resources . We believe the power of reading to children is strong enough to change their life – and EVERY child deserves this.

We decided to make them downloadable for all to play – at school, at the office, or at a Pyjama Angel visit! These are terrific printable resources to help you and your child celebrate Book Week.
