Ways you can support
There are many ways you can help support children in care reach their full potential in life – you can host your own event, or attend one of our events, participate in National Pyjama Day or get your workplace involved through corporate volunteering – the options are endless!
We’ve put together some simple yet effective fundraising ideas that can be implemented at home, school or workplace environments.
Host an Event
Raise funds for kids in care by hosting your own event or fundraiser. You can do something small like host a bake sale, or go big and host a trivia night. You can also set up your own fundraising page which only takes a few minutes!
Attend an event
We hold events throughout the year to raise much-needed funds for kids in care. Check out to see which events we have going this month!
Donate
Without donations, we wouldn’t be able to give children in care the chance to reach their full potential. Donations help to provide kids their own special mentor to help them with learning, life skills and to build confidence.
Corporate Engagement
Make an impact with your team by working collectively to make a difference to the lives of kids in care. There are several ways your workplace can support kids in care – from skills-based volunteering through to corporate fundraising.
Child care & School Engagement
Get your childcare or school to support disadvantaged children by doing something special – you can read books aloud, host Pyjama Day or raise funds together. Community events allow childcare and schools to have fun and connect while learning about our cause on a deeper level while raising funds.
Become a regular giver
As a regular donor, your weekly, fortnightly, or monthly gift helps empower children in care with learning, life skills and confidence – but most importantly, it gives them the chance to change the direction of their life. Find out more about where your donations will go and how you can make an impact.
National Pyjama Day
National Pyjama Day is our flagship fundraising event. This year National Pyjama Day is on Friday July 23 – jump into your favourite PJ’s and help raise vital funds for children in foster care. Register now to receive your free fundraising kit. Together, we can support little kids with BIG dreams.
Leave a Gift in Will
Leaving a Gift in your Will (bequest) is a special way to make a lasting and positive difference to the lives of children living in out-of-home care. Your support helps us to deliver our life-changing mentoring program which benefits not only young people, but also their families.
Donate Resources

We are always looking for brand new learning resources for the children in our Love of Learning Program. Resources such as books, games, puzzles, technological devices and stationery are always in need. Email us at donate@thepyjamafoundation.com if there are resources you might be able to donate.
