Introducing our new Head of Partnerships – Kirsten

We had a new team member join us two weeks ago and we just had to introduce you all to her! Meet Kirsten, our new Head of Partnerships super star.

Kirsten applied to work for The Pyjama Foundation after hearing about the work we do with children in care. She said “I love that we are helping children find a special someone who they can trust and who can give them hope for their future”.

We are thrilled to be able to help our community get to know Kirsten a bit better…

As a child Kirsten was very ambitious, she wanted to be the Chief of Staff in the White House. Although these days, she wouldn’t want to live anywhere else than in Brisbane. She thinks we are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world.

You can tell the amazing amount of love Kirsten has for her children. When asked what three items she would take on a desert island, she replied with “wine, smith’s cheese and onion chips and a photo of my kids”. But in all seriousness, she truly does love her kids so much. Her definition of success is for her and her children to be happy.

In her year’s of schooling, Kirsten had one key stand-out teacher who went by the name of Mrs Reed. Mrs Reed was of great significance to Kirsten as she really helped (or tried to help) her with her maths – a subject many find very difficult.
