World Oceans Day 2021
Did you know that the ocean covers over 70% of our planet?
It provides us food, livelihood and a wonderful playground that brings joy and relaxation. However, pollution, global heating, overfishing and industrialisation threaten the future of our amazing oceans and the marine wildlife that inhabit them.
World Oceans Day is an international movement on June 8th of every year. United Nations aim to inform the public of the impact of human actions on the ocean and unite the world’s population on a project for the sustainable management of the world’s oceans.
We all love the sound of the waves crashing and the sand between our toes – let’s do what we can to protect our beautiful Aussie beaches!
