The Pyjama Foundation’s Big Dreams Gala Ball is a crucial event dedicated to supporting children in foster care, who face significant challenges in reaching their full potential.
In Australia, children in care have some of the worst educational outcomes, with 92% falling below the average reading level by age seven, and 75% not completing Year 12—factors linked to lifelong disadvantage.
With more than 45,000 children currently in foster care, now is the time to act. By coming together, we can help break this cycle, empowering these children to dream big and achieve brighter futures.

Purpose
Right now, there are more than 1,000 children on our waitlist, each one urgently needing early intervention, love, and care. These children need a Pyjama Angel—a mentor to help guide them through some of life’s toughest challenges.
Raising Funds for the Love of Learning Program
Every dollar raised at the Gala Ball will go directly towards recruiting and training more Pyjama Angels, ensuring we can reach every child on our waitlist. With your support, we can continue to change lives—one child, one mentor, one dream at a time.
20 Years of The Pyjama Foundation
Through The Love of Learning Program we have trained more than 10,538 Pyjama Angels who have mentored more than 19,035 children and young people, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a brighter future. These numbers tell a story of hope and change, but the work is far from finished.
