Positions Available
Program Coordinator
Join The Pyjama Foundation as a Program Coordinator and make a meaningful impact on children in out-of-home care. You’ll coordinate volunteer recruitment and training, manage placements, and support foster carers and stakeholders.
This role is based in Brisbane, with the majority of your interactions with stakeholders conducted via phone or email. However, it also involves some external in-person meetings and presentations, as well as occasional travel to the Gold Coast, Logan, and Ipswich. Additionally, ad hoc weekend work will be required for events and training sessions.
Program Support
Join our team as Program Support and help children in out-of-home care through the Love of Learning Program. Based in Brisbane, you’ll coordinate volunteers, manage referrals, and support program success via phone and email, with occasional weekend or after-hours work for events.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and supporting volunteer mentors, maintaining accurate program records, and assisting with events. Strong communication, organisational skills, and database proficiency are essential. Enjoy flexible work arrangements, extra leave, salary packaging, and a supportive team environment. Volunteering opportunities available
Office Volunteer
What’s involved: This volunteering opportunity is very hands-on suitable for volunteers who are computer literate and have excellent communication and phone skills. Our office volunteers usually assist with contacting potential Pyjama Angel mentors, reference checks, calling Foster Carers/Carers, and some data entry.
Time: 1 Day a week (roughly 7 hours) on a day that suits you (however if you have more time, we’ll take it!)
Location: Our head office in Albion, Brisbane, QLD (other locations may be available - enquire within)

Pyjama Day Kit Packing (MAY - JULY 2025)
What’s involved: Helping to put together our ‘Pyjama Day Kits’ which are sent to thousands of schools and businesses as they register for our flagship fundraising event, National Pyjama Day. Kit packing mainly consists of folding, counting, and packing balloons, collating printed documents together, sealing, and labelling envelopes. You can listen to music to help you get into the groove of packing.
Time: Required anytime between 9:30am – 2pm, Monday – Friday, usually 3-4 hours of your time – this is a volunteering opportunity and is available up until the end of July 2024.
