The new school year is just around the corner, and it’s normal to feel nervous for the big and unfamiliar adventures ahead. We know that reading benefits young minds in so many ways, so today we’re looking at some fantastic books to help calm the first day jitters!

We know it's a classic, but we simply couldn’t leave it off this list! With quirky characters, bright colours, hopeful messages and clever rhyming schemes, ‘Oh, The Places You’ll Go’ will inspire, and get the little ones laughing.

Focusing on five different children as they start their school journey, ‘Starting School’ has a gentle message with detailed illustrations to encourage children to feel comfortable with the idea of taking that big first step.
